TSA is a bunch of BEMRs

Thanksgiving.

Once inside security, at the gate, TSA had THREE people walking up and down the line of people and checking water bottles. *IF* your water bottle was visible, they asked you to open it. The First Agent stuck a sampler in it (paper on a stick). The First Agent then turned to The Second Agent. The Second Agent held a bottle and opened it for The First Agent. The First Agent stuck the sampler into the bottle and removed it. Then, The First AND Second Agent checked the sampler.

What? The Third Agent? Supervisor.

TSA is BEMRs. Napolitano is a BEMRtano.

Part 1

Government and most large business have a wonderful mental defect: if they haven't blessed you (sometimes "certified"), you don't know what you're doing and you are neither credible nor trustworthy. No matter how much education, training, or experience you have, you are nothing unless you are really and truly blessed by the government.

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/2009/12/26/2009-12-26_father_of_umar_farouk_abdul_mutallab_nigerian_terror_suspect_in_flight_253_attac.html#ixzz0au4jC6QV

'The terror suspect who tried to blow up a Detroit-bound plane is the son of a Nigerian banker who alerted U.S. authorities to his "extreme religious views" months ago, it was reported Saturday.'

When a disturbed individual's father notifies authorities that his son has terrorist tendencies -- well, since the 'father' wasn't government-'blessed' to know these things, these things did not exist.

Out dear and glorious -- and obviously blessed -- government allowed a suspected and reported terrorist to board an airplane.

TSA and blessed company are BEMRs.

Part 2

TSA said that to prevent similar events, all passengers must remain seated for the last hour of flight.

But -- wait -- wha-- So, if you fly a regional for less than an hour are you allowed to board the airplane?

TSA and blessed company are BEMRs.

Part 3

Conveniently, the system that allowed a reported terrorist to board said this proves we need full body scans.

TSA and blessed company are BEMRs.

Part 4

Janet Napolitano said the system worked!

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/12/27/AR2009122700593.html?sub=AR

So, our system -- the system that fears lawsuits for racial profiling, that harasses little old ladies in wheel chairs and six-year-olds with toys and blue-eyed red-blooded American males 'just in case', that misses over half the practice devices sent through scanners, that disavows reports of a terrorist by the terrorist's father, that allows this terrorist to board with a bomb, that blames the problem on the lack of sophisticated scanning equipment, and that blames the problem on not keeping peaceful, law-abiding, Caucasian Christians in their seats for the last hour of flight -- worked?

Janet Napolitano is a BEMRtano.

Addenda

The head of El Al security (you know, the unblessed Israeli dude whose airline thwarted all terrorist acts for 20-odd years) said we fail because we look for bombs and not terrorists.

We are all BEMRs for not listening to the successful professionals instead of the failed semi-professionals.

Chuck Schumer is a BEMR

Chuck Schumer wouldn't end his cell phone conversation, argued with the flight attendant, lied about turning off his cell phone, then called the flight attendant a bitch.

Where're the FAA Sky Marshals?

I'm a clean-cut, blue-eyed American. I look like a narc. I always comply with security and flight attendant instructions. Yet --

-- when I fly I get free TSA rectal probes, confiscated bottles of sealed water, random security checks after I get through security, rude and surly service, and delayed and damaged luggage with TSA stickers informing me that my bags were randomly searched. (I wonder what's missing? Why didn't they close it?)

Senator Schumer is belligerent, non-compliant passenger and he gets -- nothing?

Then he calls the flight attendant a bitch?

Where're the FAA Sky Marshals? They need to cap a taser in his rather large and oddly shaped 'bottom'.

Hey, TSA. Schumer looks more Arabic than I do.

I will begrudgingly give up my TSA rectal probes and donate them to him.

It also seems someone needs to instruct the good senator what it means to 'turn off' a phone as opposed to 'end a conversation.'

And he wants to ban my guns?

What a hypocrite!

Chuck Schumer is a BEMR. And a bitch.

Ignorant PC Racists are BEMRs

An aboriginal ("Native American") wasn't paying attention to the conversation.

I said there are many Indians in London. "Indians" are people from "India" and "London" is a city in England.

The aboriginal turned hostile and said, "Native Americans."

Ignorant PC Racists are BEMRs.

People who change their memories to conform to environmental hoaxes are BEMRs

Wistfully, some people recall the deposit on glass bottles in the 40s, 50s, and 60s and associate it with environmental recycling. (I collected glass cola bottles: 3¢ for the little Coke bottle, 5¢ for the normal, 12-ounce Coke bottle, 7¢ for the liter/quart. Back then a few dozen bottles at 5¢ each was a significant amount of money.)

You paid a deposit when you bought the cola from a retailer. When you returned the bottle, the retailer refunded your deposit. The soft drink bottling companies collected the bottles, washed the bottles, and reused them.

IT WAS COMMERCIAL!

IT WAS NOT "ENVIRONMENTAL RECYCLING"!

Further, it was not mandated by government or green nazis!

People who change their memories to conform to environmental hoaxes are BEMRs.

Dothan, AL, 0845, December 12, 2009

A City Commissioner states that there is trash all over Dothan, so, he wants a small recycling fee to encourage people to recycle.

Wait a minute! WHO is putting the trash all over Dothan? (Aside from asking why he mixed "fee" and "tax" and "fine", and, "recycle" and "garbage" and "litter"?)

When a politician says that we need to add a tax because 'someone' is doing 'something', they actually say that they want to punish the majority for the sins of the minority. What they really mean is they want more tax monies to spend and they are willing to hide it behind something else.

The Commissar -- I mean, "Commissioner" -- said that the commission had more important things to do than spend time on the "point one percent", but at the same time he wants to punish the 99.9% for the garbage sins of the "point one percent".

Wait a minute! WHY punish the 99.9% at all? WHY doesn't the Dothan City Commission increase the penalties for littering? WHY aren't the police issuing tickets based upon those harsh penalties and confiscating cars for non-payment of littering? WHY can't you buy a new-to-you confiscated-for-littering truck at a police auction?

He said "recycling has never worked in the city of Dothan. You have to have complete compliance." After that blatant, hostile, Eco-Nazi threat he continued to say that recycling requires an incentive. (Avoiding a $1,000 fine, keeping your car, and staying out of jail are great motivators for me.) "This is what I do know that works."

He said that if you go to Detroit, Michigan, you will never find a plastic bottle on the street. HORSEFEATHERS! Detroit is drowning under plastic and cans and glass and trash in general. ("Oh, look! An unbroken glass bottle! It must be really new!") I don't know when he went to Detroit, or, where in Detroit he visited, but it is one of the nastiest cities you'll ever see. I visit approximately every five years, and, it's still as dirty, now, as it was when I first visited in the early 70s. (In fairness, they did clean up the rich suburbs, but I don't know if that was city or private.)

Then the second Comrade -- I mean, "Commissioner" -- said they got a grant. NOOO!!! Grants normally mean that a local government has an opportunity for matching money. That means they need to spendspendspend or they cannot keep it. Matching funds mean Communists -- I mean, "Commissioners" -- have to cough up Dothan Citizens' money to match the grant! That means TAX!

The second Commissioner said they want to charge a small fee for recycling. A small fee?

He said they want to make recycling an option. An option?

WITH GOVERNMENT THERE ARE NO SMALL FEES AND THERE ARE NO OPTIONS!

He continued to imply that recycling makes a profit. So, he said he wants to raise the tax on Dothanians $8 per month to provide an unwanted, economically inviable service.

GOVERNMENT RECYCLING COSTS ALMOST AS MUCH AS TRASH! YOUR GUESTS MADE A VERY DUBIOUS STATEMENT!  (That's tactful for "they didn't exactly tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.")

If they say "my gut feeling is", punch them in the gut with your ledger then scoff, "My spreadsheet trumps your gut feeling!"

The Second Commissioner said that he received calls and letters about recycling. So? His response should be that he looks at recycling, constantly, but it is economically inviable. If there is money in it, private companies will provide the service.

If a commercial entity is not doing recycling in Dothan/Houston County, it may also mean the land fill is not set up for recycling. Did anyone on the Dothan Commission CALL any of the commercial recyclers? I did. [REDACTED]

If there is no money in it, government will step in an waste tax dollars in pursuit of an economically inviable program.

Offering a five cent bounty on a bottle AND an $8 monthly tax (which will rise when expenses exceed 'fees') is not sufficient motivation for the average American.

Offering a $1,000 fine with jail time and confiscation of your automobile will help make people at least think before they trash the planet.
