People who think Liberals or Democrats 'surrender' are BEMRs.
Someone (Vince Lombardi, maybe) once said that "Defeat is temporary, but surrender is permanent."
Liberals and Democrats may be defeated, but they never surrender. They'll be back.
For example, during the brief Republican Revolution, 'conservative' Republicans defeated the Liberals and Democrats and briefly advanced a semi-conservative agenda. The Liberals and Democrats were defeated. Some Liberals and Democrats even admitted they were defeated. But, if you paid even minimal attention, you would have noticed that they never said they surrendered.
For example, every time a Liberals and Democrats speaks of gun control, they never speak of surrender. Sometimes they even use the phrase "first step" even though the "first steps" started over 200 years ago. They never abandon the goal of a no-gun populace. Gun control may be delayed, but it never goes away.
The Republicans thought they had a brilliant idea when they added a sunset clause to the Brady Bill. The Liberals and Democrats admitted defeat, but they never surrendered, and, they set their sights on renewing the Brady Bill when the sunset came.
Simultaneously, every year, Liberals and Democrats introduce multiple copies of almost identical gun ban legislation. The legislation may not make it out of committee; however, it was introduced. The more you chip at the wall, the more likely you are to bring down the wall. Gun control legislation may be delayed, but it never goes away. Liberals and Democrats may be defeated, but they never surrender. They'll be back.
Conservative and Republican Constituents with half-a-brain contact their allegedly Conservative and allegedly Republican congressmen and demand that if a bill is introduced and soundly defeated that it not be allowed to be reintroduced for a certain period of time. The allegedly Conservative and allegedly Republican congressmen pat their constituents on the head and tell them to go home, sit down, and shut up. The allegedly Conservative and allegedly Republican congressmen are BEMRs. Gun control may be delayed, but it never goes away.

Bank of America is a Bunch of BEMRs! And deserves to go under
Order business ATM/credit cards from BoA call center. They will gladly issue you one to five cards, but they refuse to put anyone's name on it except yours and your business.
Issue one of these cards to your employee. The employee will attempt to use the card.
BoA will freeze the card, and, relatively politely, ask your employee to come to the bank to reset the PIN. Upon arrival at the bank, BoA will confiscate the card, treat your employee like a criminal, and threaten your employee. Then, BoA will tell the employee that if you, the business owner, want your employee to have a card, you must go to the bank and they will issue one.
The BoA call center and the BoA branches are completely contradictory, but at least they make your employee feel like a piece of dirt.

Michelle is a BEMR: Teachers Are NOT the Key to a Successful Economy
In economics, mere mortals cannot spend more than they earn without dire consequences.
In economics, there is a customer-supplier alignment. The supplier offers a product for a price at a specified time and place. The customer agrees that the supplier will provide a product for a price at a specified time and place.
In education (no, it's not "teaching" anymore), there is a customer-supplier derangement. Educators execute a one-sided dominance and violate the contract. The supplier offers a product (customized education of the children) for a price at a specified time and place. The customer agrees that the supplier will provide a product (customized education that the customer wants for the children) for a price at a specified time and place. The supplier ignores the customer's side of the contract and educates the children with whatever propaganda and lies the educator wants or the educator's union and political party dictates. Then, the supplier demands more money for product not delivered.
Further, monies for customized education are siphoned off to political parties, unions, lobbyists, pension funds, and other dubious endeavors BEFORE paying for the customized education. Then, the educrats say they need more money to educate the children.
Educators and educrats never have to make a payroll, never have to worry about overhead, and never have to conform to basic economics (don't spend more than you earn).
First, No, Michelle, they are not teachers.
Second, No, Michelle, teachers are NOT the key to a successful economy because they do not conform to basic economic principles.

Michelle Obama: Teachers Are Key to a Successful Economy
By Michelle Obama
Posted October 15, 2009
Michelle Obama is the first lady of the United States.
This is a busy time of year in the Obama household. Like so many parents all across this country, I watch with a mixture of pride and anxiety as my daughters stuff their backpacks, kiss me goodbye, and move ahead in another school year without so much as a backwards glance. [See photos of the Obama family.]
My girls are now making new friends, tackling challenging new subjects, and moving closer to becoming the strong, confident women I know they can be. But when I see them come home, bursting with excitement about something they have learned or someone they have met, I can't help but think that some of the most influential people in my daughters' lives won't be the ones they socialize with on the playground or read about in the pages of a book—they will be the people who stand up every day in front of their classrooms.
We all remember the impact a special teacher had on us—a teacher who refused to let us fall through the cracks; who pushed us and believed in us when we doubted ourselves; who sparked in us a lifelong curiosity and passion for learning. Decades later, we remember the way they made us feel and the things they inspired us to do—how they challenged us and changed our lives. So it's not surprising that studies show that the single most important factor affecting students' achievement is the caliber of their teachers. And when we think about the qualities that make an outstanding teacher—boundless energy and endless patience; vision and a sense of purpose; the creativity to help us see the world in a different way; commitment to helping us discover and fulfill our potential—we realize: These are also the qualities of a great leader.
Today, more than ever before, we need precisely this kind of leadership in our classrooms. As the president has frequently said, in a 21st-century global economy where jobs can be shipped to any place with an Internet connection and children here in America will be competing with children around the world for the same jobs, a good education is no longer just one road to opportunity—it is the only road. And good teachers aren't just critical for the success of our students. They are the key to the success of our economy.
But the reality is that with each passing year, we are losing more and more of our most experienced teachers. More than half of our nation's teachers and principals are baby boomers. And in the next four years, as many as one third of America's 3.2 million teachers could retire. The U.S. Department of Education projects that by 2014, just five short years from now, our nation's schools will hire as many as 1 million new teachers. And the challenge to our schools is not just an overall teacher shortage but a shortage of good teachers in the schools where they are most essential: high-need schools that face some of the most daunting obstacles but have students with so much potential. We also have a shortage of teachers in subjects like math and science that we know will be critical to our children's future.
Today, we need a new generation of leaders to take their place in our nation's schools. We need passionate, talented, committed men and women to step up and devote themselves to preparing our students to succeed in this new century.
We need universities to double down on their efforts to prepare teachers and to improve and expand effective alternative routes to certify teachers. We need to encourage more experienced professionals to consider teaching as the next chapter in their careers. And we need to treat teachers like the professionals they are by providing good salaries and high-quality professional development opportunities. We need parents to do their part as well to match that leadership in the classroom with leadership at home. We need to set limits and turn off the TV. We need to put away those video games and make sure that homework gets done. We need to reinforce the example that's being set and the lessons being taught at school and make sure that learning continues at home.
And we need government to support significant efforts to recruit and retain teachers and to reward high-performing teachers. Along those lines, President Obama is already investing more than $3 billion to turn around struggling schools. And he has proposed a nationwide Teacher Recruitment Program to attract more people to the profession, especially in high-need schools. I look forward to being involved with this program and encouraging people across America to put their leadership skills to work in our nation's schools.
Much work lies ahead, and it won't be easy. But I am confident that with a new generation of outstanding leaders in our classrooms, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of our young people and a lasting impact on the life of this nation.

As Caucasian, Christian, conservative, capitalist, constitutionalist, heterosexual, veteran male, I've been on the receiving end of real discrimination since day one.

Caucasians in the military get to do extra duty for every other race for their race month. (Where is Caucasian month?) (For some reason, other races can't perform duty during other races' months.)
Christians are moved to the back of the photo.
Christians in the military get to do extra duty for every other religion for their religious holidays. (For some reason, other religions can't perform duty during Christian or other religions' holidays.)
Males are moved to the back of the photo.
Males in the military get to do extra duty for every other sex for their sex month.
Singles are moved to the back of the photo.
Singles in the military get to do extra duty so married people can have time with their spouses. (For some reason, married can't perform duty.)
Childless are moved to the back of the photo.
Childless in the military get to do extra duty so parents can have time with their children. (For some reason, parents can't perform duty.)
And the dirty rotten secret about the military is that it is fundamentally communist: if you have a spouse, you get extra money; if you have children, you get extra money...
No wonder most generals are socialist liberal democrats.

Kalifornia Government is BEMRs -- and Nazi Nutz: Ban the 50-Year-Old Winter Trigger
A friend served in World War II. He served in the snows of Europe. He spoke little except to say that it was cold. He passed. His widow wanted a good home for his M-1 Garand. I adopted.
A catalog advertised a winter trigger for the Garand. I thought that would be a nice addition to the family. I ordered. The company was very nice, but they said it was against the law, and, cancelled the order.
Against the law!?! Against the law to purchase a 50-year-old surplus piece of metal for a 60-year-old rifle!?!
Yes.
The Kalifornia Socialist Democrat banned its subjects from the purchase of any out-of-state of firearms parts.
The winter trigger is the piece of metal in the image. All the winter trigger does is make the trigger surface wider so you can use it when your hands are frozen from lack of equipment or your hands are wrapped in bulky fabric to keep them warm. (You REALLY need a winter trigger when you're cruising the streets of LA.)
I realize that Kalifornia attempts to keep drug dealers, gangbangers, republicans, Christians, conservatives, heterosexuals, and males from arming themselves. I also realize that the M-1 Garand is cheap ($1,500), small (43.6 inches), and light (9.8 pounds). I also realize that the Garand has a high capacity magazine (8-round clip), and, it is capable of rapid fire (850-900 rounds per minute). But, I don't think the Garand is the drug dealers' and gangbangers' firearm of choice.
I am glad my friend didn't live to see the rot of what he fought to preserve.

(10-12) 18:28 PDT SACRAMENTO -- People buying ammunition in California will soon have to be thumb-printed and dealers will have to keep records of sales, under legislation that Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed into law.
After vetoing similar bills three times since 2004, Schwarzenegger signed AB962 by Assemblyman Kevin de León, D-Los Angeles, on Sunday, saying he now believes it will promote public safety.
The measure is California's first statewide regulation of ammunition sales. It survived close votes in both the Assembly and state Senate and strong opposition from gun-rights organizations, which succeeded in stripping a provision that would have required sellers of more than 50 rounds of ammunition a month to be licensed by the state.
Starting in July 2010, the new law will require dealers to keep records of handgun ammunition sales for at least five years, and store the bullets securely out of customers' reach.
Like gun transactions, all ammunition sales will have to be face-to-face, a requirement that will force online buyers to arrange delivery of ammunition to a seller in California. Another provision makes it a crime to knowingly sell or give ammunition to someone who cannot possess it legally, including felons, gang members and the mentally ill.
As of February 2011, all ammunition-buyers will have to provide a driver's license or other state identification and a thumbprint.
De León said Monday that the bill gives police "a valuable tool to crack down on armed, dangerous criminals and gang-bangers in our communities."
Opponents said the restrictions would burden gun owners and dealers without impeding criminals.
"Ammunition or ammunition purchaser registration, in any form, serves only to infringe upon the rights of law-abiding citizens," Gun Owners of California said while the bill was before the Legislature.
In signing the bill, Schwarzenegger said local governments that require record-keeping for ammunition sales have enabled police to arrest many illegal purchasers. Local governments that regulate ammunition sales include San Francisco, Oakland, Tiburon and Contra Costa and Marin counties.
"Utilized properly, this type of information is invaluable for keeping communities safe," Schwarzenegger said.

DoD/USN are BEMRs: Remember the -- whatever the politically correct, forgettably named ship is!
The politically correct US Navy in the politically correct Department of Defense named a supply ship after a politically correct martyr.
Why name a Navy ship after murdered civil rights worker Medgar Evers? Was he in the Navy? Did he develop something for the Navy? Was he instrumental in any Navy? No.
Is the message for the citizens of the United States? Nothing is more important than wallowing in a civil rights struggle that effectively ended 30 years ago? Military warriors will be ignored while self-absorbed pacifists glorify themselves by naming ships of the line after anti-war civilians?
Is the message for the citizens of the United States or the World? If you're going to name a Navy ship after civil rights worker Medgar Evers, why give his name to a supply ship? What purpose does that serve? "Fight for civil rights in peace, but supply the sodas and condoms in war"? "Fight for civil rights in peace, but act as a large, slow, defenseless target in war"?
Or is the message to her crewmen: "We want black Afro-Americans to serve on the Medgar Evers because they can't handle combat"? Os it the message: "We want black Afro-Americans to serve on the Medgar Evers so they can be slaughtered when the first anti-ship missile or torpedo is launched"?
The Secretary of the Navy obviously views black Afro-American sailors as designated mortalities.
And the black Afro-American sailors will taunt the Caucasian sailors: "You're on OUR ship now!" Or, "You'd better be careful or YOU'LL end up like Medgar Evers!" When the Caucasians retort, "Watch your back!", the race-riots will begin. This was a bloody stupid decision!
The exceptional insult to the black Afro Americans AND Medgar Evers is that almost no one knows the names of supply ships. Besides the new USS Medgar Evers, Name one!
It seems to me that if the US Military and its politically correct mishandlers wanted to do something correctly, they would name something US Army for Medgar Evers. Evers dropped out of school to join the Army and served in Europe during World War II. Then he went to college. Perhaps the Department of Defense should name the GI Bill after Medgar Evers. Perhaps the Department of Defense should name a special GI Bill for soldiers who earn their GED AND a college degree after Medgar Evers. Perhaps the Department of the Army should name the next European-specific piece of individual equipment after Medgar Evers.
If the Obama Administration and the Department of Defense want all Caucasians to carry the shame of civil rights, and, they want the black Afro-Americans to carry the fighting spirit of a martyr, they should name the new combat knife after Medgar Evers. "He cut through racism as you will cut through America's enemies!"
But that would require an administration unafraid of making an enemy bleed, and, that is not the Obama administration.

UN is BEMRs: No! No! No! No! No! - Guns kill and maim thousands
http://www.newsmax.com/us/un_un_arms_trade_treaty/2009/10/10/270798.html
"UNITED NATIONS -- Seven countries have launched a campaign for the U.N. to start negotiations on a new treaty regulating the global arms trade to help prevent the illegal transfer of guns that kill and maim thousands every day."
Stoopid me! Here I thought firearms were inanimate objects -- like Lindsey Graham's brain.
"Why, just t'other day, my gun awoke, leapt up, looked around, killed a few thousand people, then went back to sleep. Then, a couple days later, my other gun awoke, maimed a few thousand more people, then went back to sleep. Gotta watch them Winchesters!"
Would it make the United Nations happier if my knife or saw or hammer developed the same antisocial habits as my guns? Then they could ban them, too.
"Sure nuff, not two days later, my tack hammer awoke, bashed in a few thousand skulls, then went back to sleep. Gotta watch them Stanleys!"
Or how about my truck developing Teddy Kennedy Rental Car Syndrome?
"Then, nigh onto week later, my truck awoke, drowned a couple of thousand female campaign workers, then went back to sleep. Gotta watch them Toyotas!"
Remind me, again. During the Rwandan Genocide, the Darfur Genocide, and almost all genocides throughout history, how many victims were shot compared to how many were buried alive, or hacked, stabbed, or beaten to death?
"Kill and maim thousands every day"? You really wanna unkill and unmaim thousands!?! BAN THE U.N.! ARM CIVILIANS! (See also Executive Outcomes and UN in Sierra Leone.)
"Hey, UN! Flavor-Aid killed more people at Jonestown than all my firearms combined. Mebbe you should ban Flavor-Aid instead of french fries and meat cows."
The sad thing is that the poor editor at Newsmax will be royally cussed out and threatened for merely posting the article. And he's a really great guy!

Campaign Begins to Start Gun Treaty Negotiations
Saturday, October 10, 2009 4:09 PM
UNITED NATIONS -- Seven countries have launched a campaign for the U.N. to start negotiations on a new treaty regulating the global arms trade to help prevent the illegal transfer of guns that kill and maim thousands every day.
John Duncan, Britain's ambassador for multilateral arms control and disarmament, said the four-week meeting of the General Assembly's disarmament committee, which started Monday, will be "pivotal" in deciding whether to launch formal negotiations on a new Arms Trade Treaty.
According to a report published this week by the British relief agency Oxfam and 11 other non-governmental organizations, some 2.1 million people _ overwhelmingly civilians _ have died either directly or indirectly as a result of armed violence since the General Assembly first voted in December 2006 to work toward a treaty regulating the growing, multibillion dollar arms trade.
This is the equivalent of more than 2,000 people dying every day _ worse than one person killed each minute, the report said.
"There is an overflow of government sponsored and private illegal armies, ethnic militias and non-state guerrilla forces," former U.N. humanitarian chief Jan Egeland, who now heads the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs, said in a forward to the report.
"And they are supplied as never before with lethal weapons by reckless states," Egeland said. "Only a forceful, unambiguous and verifiable convention can control transfers and do away with the networks of illegal arms brokers that supply our generation's weapons of mass killings and mass misery."
Duncan said that after three years of discussions, Britain, Argentina, Australia, Costa Rica, Finland, Japan and Kenya have proposed a resolution establishing negotiations to draft and agree on a treaty.
The idea of a treaty "is still contentious," Duncan said. But supporters are hoping the disarmament committee will support the resolution and the 192-member General Assembly will approve the measure later this year. That would pave the way for negotiations leading up to an international conference in 2012 that would hopefully adopt the new treaty.
Last year, the assembly overwhelmingly endorsed a working group to move toward negotiations by a vote of 147-2, with the U.S. and Zimbabwe casting "no" votes. Others were either absent or abstained.
Whether President Barack Obama's administration will now back negotiations remains to be seen.
Gun control is a hotly contentious issue in the United States, where the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution guarantees citizens the right to "keep and bear arms," and powerful lobby groups routinely oppose almost every effort to restrict gun sales and ownership _ and usually win.
Supporters of a new treaty stress that it will not interfere with legal arms sales but will target illegal weapons transfers.
The U.S. statement to the disarmament committee, delivered Tuesday by Ellen Tauscher, the undersecretary of state for arms control and international security, focused on Obama's proposals to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons and move toward disarmament. It made no mention of conventional weapons or an Arms Trade Treaty.
A U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly, said the administration was still reviewing its position on a treaty.
Many countries in Europe, Africa and Latin America are backing the campaign to launch negotiations on an Arms Trade Treaty.
Nigeria's deputy U.N. ambassador warned that the circulation of illicit weapons in west Africa "is fast turning the region into a major transit point for illicit trafficking in arms and drugs" and facilitating the growth of criminal syndicates.
Paul van den Ijssel, the Netherlands ambassador to the U.N. Conference on Disarmament in Geneva, told a forum that a strong international treaty is needed to straighten out "patchwork arrangements" in different countries and regions.
Brig. Gen. Mujahid Alam, a retired Pakistani officer with the U.N. peacekeeping mission in Congo, said "free and unabated trafficking of weapons, in particular small arms," in the Great Lakes region of central Africa is one of the major causes fueling the war in Congo, which has claimed 5 million lives since 1998.
He predicted that agreement on an Arms Trade Treaty will not happen quickly and suggested that the U.N. and the international community consider a pilot project in the Great Lakes region to test possible treaty provisions to curb illegal weapons transfers.

Major Political Parties are BEMRs: The Dems and Reps Left Me
100 years ago when I registered to vote, I registered as a Democrat. In my defense, that was when the Democrat party 'pretended' to be Christian, Conservative Hawk. The Democrat party left me for pagan, liberal pacifism.
I switched.
When I changed party affiliation, I registered as a republican (lower case). In my defense, that was when the Republican party 'pretended' to be Christian, Conservative Hawk -- and republican. Then, the Republican party left me.
Where does a Constitutionalist (Christian, conservative hawk) register, now?

Dothan City Commission is BEMRs: You Lie: Dothan City Commission 'Generates Revenue'
Today, the Dothan City Council said they were going to spend some more money on a project, but later it would 'generate revenue.'
You lie! Or at least quibble.
When any government entity says 'revenue' they mean 'tax.'
Government entities tax taxpayer dollars, spend them, then tax them, again.

Moe-Rons in Customer Support: Spot

findmespot.com
Spot advertises well, works semi-tolerably, support is atrocious, but at least their website is designed by brain-dead zombies on Quaaludes.
If you want all of the locations -- You get to subtract to determine how many are not downloaded, then, download that number divided by 20 plus 1.
They are not operating in the dark. Customers made many requests (oral and email) to them to add "Download ALL," "Download First 500," "Second 500," etc.
If you want your information, you pay for it, but at least you have to work to get it, and, then, work harder to make it into something usable.
But wait! There's less!
When Spot downloads the info, it does not add any batch specific naming to it, so, you download 500 locations in three file formats means 75 files. And, they have no identification other than "spot_messages.csv," "spot_messages-1.csv," "spot_messages-2.csv". Since their scripts lock up your computer, they do not download in order. Yeah, you can get your information, but it's not in a usable, functional, coherent group.
Thank you very little for your lack of support.

Incumbents are BEMRs: The Founding Fathers warned about Incumbent Syndrome
Summary
The Founding Fathers warned about Incumbent Syndrome (and stridently advocated term limits): "The senators will associate only with men of their own class, and thus become strangers to the condition of the common people. They should not only return [to their home city and state], and be obliged to live with the people, but return to their former rank of citizenship, both to revive their sense of dependence, and to gain a knowledge of the country."
Narrative
The text is a little hard to read, but relatively easy to understand.
Anti-Federalist Paper No. 65 – On The Organization And Powers Of The Senate (Part 4) EXTRACT
(by Gilbert Livingston and John Lansing delivered on June 24, 1788 to the New York ratifying convention)
Our present Congress cannot serve longer than three years in six: they are at any time subject to recall. These and other checks were considered as necessary at a period which I choose to honor with the name of virtuous. Sir, I venerate the spirit with which every thing was done at the trying time in which the Confederation was formed. America had then a sufficiency of this virtue to resolve to resist perhaps the first nation in the universe, even unto bloodshed. What was her aim? Equal liberty and safety. What ideas had she of this equal liberty? Read them in her Articles of Confederation. True it is, sir, there are some powers wanted to make this glorious compact complete. But, sir, let us be cautious that we do not err more on the other hand, by giving power too profusely, when, perhaps, it will be too late to recall it. Consider, sir, the great influence which this body, armed at all points, will have. What will be the effect of this? Probably a security of their reelection, as long as they please. Indeed, in my view, it will amount nearly to an appointment for life. What will be their situation in a federal town? Hallowed ground! Nothing so unclean as state laws to enter there, surrounded, as they will be, by an impenetrable wall of adamant and gold, the wealth of the whole country flowing into it. [Here a member, who did not fully understand, called out to know what WALL the gentleman meant; on which be turned, and replied, A wall of gold - of adamant, which will flow in from all parts of the continent. At which flowing metaphor, a great laugh in the house. ] The gentleman continued: Their attention to their various business will probably require their constant attendance. In this Eden will they reside with their families, distant from the observation of the people. In such a situation, men are apt to forget their dependence, lose their sympathy, and contract selfish habits. Factions are apt to be formed, if the body becomes permanent. The senators will associate only with men of their own class, and thus become strangers to the condition of the common people. They should not only return, and be obliged to live with the people, but return to their former rank of citizenship, both to revive their sense of dependence, and to gain a knowledge of the country. [Italics added.] This will afford opportunity to bring forward the genius and information of the states, and will be a stimulus to acquire political abilities. It will be the means of diffusing a more general knowledge of the measures and spirit of the administration. These things will confirm the people's confidence in government. When they see those who have been high in office residing among them as private citizens, they will feel more forcibly that the government is of their own choice. The members of this branch having the idea impressed on their minds, that they are soon to return to the level whence the suffrages of the people raised them, - this good effect will follow: they will consider their interests as the same with those of their constituents, and that they legislate for themselves as well as others. They will not conceive themselves made to receive, enjoy, and rule, nor the people solely to earn, pay, and submit.

In Civics teachers said that Americans were lucky because Americans had two instruction manuals for The Constitution: The Federalist Papers, and, The Anti-Federalist Papers.

Bob Dole is a BEMR: Thanks, Bob
From day one the Feds collected Social Security taxes.
From day two the Feds said not to expect any Social Security payments.
The more you made, the more you paid, the less you could expect in return.
We recounted the tax with no expectation of return. We told him that the Feds could keep every penny paid into Social Security, further, we would save the same amount or double, if we could opt out of Social Security.
He laughed his rude, dismissing laugh and said: "If we did that for you, we'd have to do that for others, and, pretty soon, there wouldn't be Social Security."
"EXACTLY!"
He did not understand (or didn't want to hear). Rudely, he moved along.
October 2009, once, again, not understanding, Mr Bob Dole rudely spoke and said we need healthcare reform but not a public option.
The media reports Mr Bob Dole spoke and said we need healthcare reform.
Thanks TWICE, Bob,

QOTD: Dr Thomas Sowell: The older I get

"The older I get, the more I learn to tolerate human shortcomings-- and the less I tolerate bad attitudes." -- Dr Thomas Sowell
Reformers are BEMRs: Define 'reform'!
Define 'reform'!
When 'we' say "reform" we mean individual-controlled which means cheaper, better, faster.
When 'they' say "reform" they mean government-controlled which also means expensive, bad, slow -- and over-regulated and limited and restricted and rationed and lethal.
Their kind of reform is the kind of reform we can live without.
BEMR
P.S. I used to advocate tort reform. Now, I'm not so sure. What do politicians mean when they say they support tort reform? Do they mean government-controlled, expensive, bad, slow, over-regulated, limited, restricted, rationed, and lethal? Will there be end-of-life legal counseling and death panels in tort reform, too?
Napolitano is a BEMR: How much is Napolitano gonna cost us in legal fees?
DHS strips Arizona sheriff of authority to patrol for illegal immigrants

Ms Napolitano ordered Sheriff Joe to NOT enforce the law.
WHEN an illegal alien commits a heinous crime against a law-abiding 'legal' citizen of the USA , can/may the victim and the victim's family sue Ms. Napolitano? After all, Ms. Napolitano created the dangerous environment which a reasonable person would not expect to exist?
Wrong has rights. Right has no place in Napolitano's world.

DHHS are BEMRs: Where are the vaccines coming from?
About ten years ago Bill and Hillary effectively nationalized flu vaccines. As a direct result, about 80% of flu vaccine makers stopped making flu vaccines.
This year, the Obama administration ordered that everyone in the USA will be vaccinated against a particularly mild flu.
How is it possible that the USA suddenly has enough flu vaccines for ALL US citizens when most flu vaccine makers quit making flu vaccine?
What changed?
Are we buying flu vaccines from China -- with added extras of lead, mercury, glycol, etc?
Don't you always say to follow the money? Which congress maggots own shares of vaccine makers?

Public Option is a BEMR: I support a public option
I support a public option.
The poor cannot afford insurance.
The middle class go 'naked' (without insurance).
Even if you have insurance, every year, insurance companies deny healthcare to millions of minorities, undocumented aliens, and the poor. Life-saving treatment which is readily available in Cuba, Venezuela, and other third world countries is denied in the USA which results in millions of unnecessary, inhumane deaths.
We have the highest mortality rate in the first world and much of the second and third worlds.
At the same time, conservative republicans and so-called 'Christians' join a bi-partisan effort to abort pregnancies, and, to mandate sterilization of males and females.
Many normally compassionate homes surrender their aging family members to the state for euthanasia, especially when insurance companies deny life-saving or life-prolonging care.
I just returned from the doctor, and, she charged me $207 for my three little ones. $207. Oh, sure, I get three months paid vacation to take care of them, but I still have to shell out $207.
I think this whole insurance situation, and specifically my $207, is a travesty, so, I support a public option for Veterinary Health Care Coverage.
Do it for the kittens.
May I count on your support?

P.S. Now, regarding public option dental care for the coprophagous residents of the USA, specifically congress...
